In July 2024, we opened a new branch in Koper, where we provide support to the citizens of the Municipality of Koper and other coastal municipalities. In light of this, we organized an Open Day on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, which took place at our premises on Beblerjeva Street 13 in Koper, within the Žusterna Bocce Hall in the Markovec neighborhood.
The aim of the event was to introduce our work to the wider public and demonstrate how we can create a safer and more balanced digital environment together.
The event began with an opening speech by Mr. Timotej Pirjevec, Head of the Office for Social Activities at the Municipality of Koper, who emphasized the importance of addressing digital addiction and ensuring access to quality preventive and support programs.
After a welcome address by Mr. Boris Veler, Director of the Nora Institute, under which the Logout program operates, visitors had the opportunity to:
• explore various anonymous digital addiction self-assessments,
• take part in digital addiction knowledge quizzes,
• learn about the diagnostic criteria for addiction,
• discover our three-week Digital Detox program, developed in collaboration with the Rakitna Youth Climate Health Resort,
• get to know tools such as the Family Screen Time Plan, interactive conversation cards, and other resources for discussing screen use with children and adolescents,
• receive promotional materials, posters, and brochures,
• and talk to us about challenges they observe in their organizations or personal lives.
Special attention was given to individual counseling services, which Logout offers free of charge, including online sessions.
With this event, we wanted to highlight our mission: to improve people's well-being in the digital environment – especially that of children and adolescents – through treatment, support, information, and awareness-raising about healthy and balanced digital habits.
Our doors are open to anyone struggling with excessive screen use, screen addiction, or challenges related to online violence and risky online behaviors.
We would like to thank the Municipality of Koper for the warm welcome and all those who visited us, shared their questions and experiences, and contributed to an open and sincere discussion on this pressing issue of our time.
